Our Beginning

The Genesis of The Cold Spot

In 1974, we started as a simple carryout in Charleston, offering cold drinks and carryout foods. Recognizing the lack of restaurants in the area, especially those serving buffalo wings, we seized the opportunity to fill this gap. Thus, The Cold Spot transformed from a modest carryout into a pioneering restaurant.

Filling a Culinary Void

Our journey into the restaurant business was driven by the absence of dining options beyond fast food. We introduced buffalo wings to Charleston, setting a new standard for taste and quality in the area.

We believe in treating our customers like family, ensuring each person who walks through our doors feels welcomed and valued. Our menu, known for the best wings in the valley, reflects our dedication to culinary excellence.

Community and Resilience

The fire of 2014 tested our resolve, but with the unwavering support of our community, we rebuilt and reopened in 2015, stronger and more committed than ever.

Always evolving, we regularly introduce new and exciting dishes to our menu. Our commitment to community service remains steadfast, with year-round initiatives to support local charities.
